Day 1

After a home-collection, we catch the Condor fast ferry service to Jersey. On arrival in Jersey you will be met by a local representative who will see you to your coach for your hotel transfer to St Helier.

Days 2, 3, 4, 5 & 6

Jersey is blessed with stunning beaches and quaint coves to explore, picturesque villages to stroll through, and attractions to frequent - such as Mont Orgueil Castle, which has stunning, panoramic views towards France.

St Helier's own sea views are second-to-none. Enjoy views of beautiful Elizabeth Castle in St Aubin's Bay and marvel at its 400 years of history. Alternatively, spend time exploring the beautiful parks and gardens of St Helier, Jersey Zoo, Jersey Museum, the Waterfront complex or Fort Regent.

During your stay, excursions such as a full-day island tour can be booked directly with the hotel. Other excursions can be arranged by coach, car hire, bike or even on foot. St Helier itself has a lovely shopping centre with reduced Duty Free, or even NO VAT! Visits to other Channel Islands and mainland France (by sea or air) can also be arranged (passports required).

Day 7

Battle of Flowers Parade - standard seated tickets
Today we take out seats in standard seating and enjoy one of Jersey's most popular events, the Battle of Flowers. See Jersey at its very best and enjoy the imaginative floats, bright performers and energetic dancers. With a large number of locals taking part, and many visitors coming to Jersey for 'The Battle' year after year, Battle weekend is a treat for all.

The origins of the Battle lie in 1902, during the coronation of King Edward VII and Queen Alexandra. Islanders decided to hold a parade in their honour, with horse-drawn floats covered in flowers taking to the waterfront streets of Jersey. There was a tradition of picking flowers from the floats and throwing them to the audience; this quickly developed into flowers being thrown back, and the 'Battle of Flowers' was born. The festival took a break during World War II and the German occupation but was revived during the 1950s and has gone from strength to strength ever since. Today the Battle of Flowers is a community event that involves the whole island and attracts many visitors year after year. Floats of all sizes compete for a variety of prizes and honours, with the large float class winner being awarded the 'Prix d'Honneur'.

Day 8

We are collected from our hotel and taken to the port for our catamaran journey back. Once on UK shores, we meet our coach for the return journey to the local area, and then a taxi ride home.
Please note: There is no porterage service available on or off the ferry.

St Helier - The streets of St Helier, Jersey's capital, hold a host of hidden delights. Stroll around the sophisticated shops, enjoy the varied nightlife and choose from a mouth-watering selection of restaurants.

The Central Market, St Helier - As you might expect on an island renowned for some of its food exports (Jersey Royals and tomatoes to name but two), the Central Market in Halkett Place is a bustling commercial area in St Helier. The market itself is housed in a stunning Victorian building that dates back to 1803. Noted for its fine architecture as well as the colourful displays of Jersey produce. A great place to buy flowers and Jersey Lily bulbs!

Waterfront complex - A more recent addition to St Helier's attractions is the Waterfront complex, which is a great place for all the family. Comprising a marina, multiscreen cinema, swimming pool with slides and a fun pool, a nightclub and a range of eateries, this is a central hub for entertainment.

Jersey Museum - Located by the Weighbridge behind the bus station, the Jersey Museum's "Story of Jersey" exhibition is an ideal introduction to the island.

Elizabeth Castle - The turrets and towers of Elizabeth Castle, named after Queen Elizabeth I by Sir Walter Raleigh, are marooned on a rock a mile out to sea. At high tide, they can be reached by "duck boat", and at low tide, they can be reached on foot via a causeway.

Fort Regent - Originally a Napoleonic fortress, Fort Regent is the Island's largest leisure and entertainment venue. Overlooking St Helier, the site offers spectacular panoramic views of the south and east coasts. Inside the Fort you'll find the Island's largest gym, including a comprehensive free weight and cardio-vascular area.

Jersey Zoo - owned by the Durrell Worldlife Conservation Trust and internationally known for its work in saving and breeding endangered species, Jersey Zoo is well worth a visit.

Jersey War Tunnels - The Jersey War Tunnels are Jersey's most evocative museum of the five-year German occupation during World War II. Originally intended for use as an artillery barracks, it was converted to a hospital in 1944.

Mont Orgueil Castle - Towering over the picturesque harbour of Gorey is Mont Orgueil, where 13th Century islanders watched anxiously for invaders. It served as a German command and observation post during World War II. The recent renovation, which opened up a labyrinth of stairways and passageways previously closed to the public, makes the castle well worth a visit.

Jersey Potteries: A lovely place to while away an afternoon watching pottery demonstrations, or even trying it out yourself! Browse around the shop and glorious gardens, or sample a delicious Jersey cream tea in the restaurant.
